American Staffing Association (ASA) Conventions

American Staffing Association

The American Staffing Association Convention and Expo is held every year, where Bridgeware’s Temporary Staffing Software is always showcased. Their convention is usually in mid-October, at various locations. In 2019 it was held in Las Vegas at the MGM Grand Hotel from October 15-17.

For that event, it boasted more than 25 sessions including 3 keynote addresses, 60+ speakers, and their largest Expo Hall with more than 170 Exhibitors.

This year (2020) the American Staffing Association’s annual convention, “Staffing World Convention and Expo” will be held in October in Nashville, TN. Watch this page for details as they become available.

Bridgeware Systems Inc. is proud to be a supporter and exhibitor at all ASA conventions, since their beginning. You are cordially invited to visit our booth to catch up on the latest development in our staffing software, TempsPlus. To arrange a personal meeting at any time during the convention just drop us an email suggesting a time that is convenient for you. Look forward to meeting you informally at our booth or in private.

ASA offers training programs leading to certifications in 4 major areas

  • Certified Staffing Professional – A basic credential for working in the staffing industry
  • Technical Services – For staffing personnel who work technical, IT, and Scientific staffing services
  • Search Consulting – For recruiters who work in the permanent placement field.
  • Health Care – For staffing and recruiting professionals who work in the placement of health care workers

ASA provides other specific training programs that are extremely important to the staffing Industry. Among these is their “Safety Standard of Excellence” program. This training has become increasingly important since staffing companies and their clients are both held  legally responsible for worker safety.

ASA also provides a great deal of research containing important information on industry trends, legal issues, technology, and general management, through its many publications, webinars, and events.

It frequently acts on behalf of the staffing industry when various laws and regulations are being considered or reviewed by state and federal agencies. An example of this would be the Affordable Care Act (ACA)  and other very recent federal legislation like the “Families First Coronavirus Response Act” or FFCRA
